(13th Congress) – Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, was re-elected as Secretary of the ministry Party Committee during its 3rd Congress, term 2020-2025, held on August 11.

During the Congress, Nguyen Van Truong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) Party Committee, said that over the past 5 years, the MARD Party Committee had accelerated the implementation of the Party Central Committee resolution on increased Party building and rectification; preventing a degradation of political ideology, morality and lifestyle in the Party.
According to Mr. Truong, the MARD Party Committee has also led the political tasks to high results, especially in the sector’s development.
In the next 5 years, the Party Committee will realize the political tasks to develop smart agriculture that integrates into the world, adapt to climate change, with an increase in added value and sustainable development in connection with the building of prosperous and advanced new rural areas.
Additionally, it will strive to build up a prosperous agricultural sector, rich farmers, advanced and modern rural areas.
The Congress agreed to elect a 33-member MARD Executive Party Committee for the new term, in which MARD Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Hiep was re-elected Secretary of the Party Committee./.
