Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue recognized the results made by the district Party Committee

The congress was attended and directed by Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo members, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; members of the Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee; and leaders of departments, agencies and branches of the city.

General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong sent flowers and a congratulation letter to the congress. He expressed that in the coming time, the district authorities and people shall uphold the glorious tradition and achievements; continuing to promote their advantages and mobilizing all resources to develop and build Dong Anh into a smart urban center.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Dong Anh district Party Committee, said that over the past 5 years, average economic growth of the locality reached 10.2%, 1.71% higher than the set target; economic structure developed in the right direction with industry-construction holding the key role, accounting for 88.82%; trade-service 9.93%, and agriculture and forestry 4.72%. Average per capital income reached VND60 million a year, up 10% compared to the set target.

Budget collection of the district grew over the years with over VND16 trillion, an average increase of 28% a year.

In the 2020-2025 term, the party congress set 10 main targets, 6 key tasks, 3 breakthrough stages associated with 6 programs, 24 projects and 15 solution groups to build Dong Anh into a rich, beautiful and civilized district.

Specifically, average economic growth rate will reach 10.2-10.5%, economic structure will mainly shift to industry, construction and service-trade, average per capita income reached more than VND85 million, 100% of communes will meet criteria to become wards and 100% of schools will meet national standards.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue recognized and hailed the results made by the district Party Committee, authorities and people of Dong Anh over the past term. Aiming to achieve the set targets, he urged the district Party Committee should focus on strengthening Party building and rectification and the transparent and strong political system associated with intensifying the studying and following of ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh./.
