(13th Party Congress) - Mr. Le Quang Manh, Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho Party Committee and Chairman of the city People’s Committee, was elected to be Secretary of the Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The 14th Can Tho Party Congress (term 2020-2025), held from September 23 to 25, elected the Executive Board of the city Party Committee with 50 members.
At the first session, the Executive Board elected the Standing Board, Secretary, Deputy Secretaries, the city Party Committee’s Commission for Inspection, and Chairman of the Commission. The Standing Board (term 2020-2025) includes 15 members.
Mr. Pham Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the city Party Committee and Chairman of the city People’s Council, and Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Head of the city Party Committee’s Commission for Popularization and Education, were elected as Deputy Secretaries of the 14th city Party Committee.
The Executive Board elected the city Party Committee’s Commission for Inspection with 11 members. Mr. Le Van Thanh was elected as Chairman of the Commission.
Mr. Le Quang Manh was born in 1974, in My Duc, Hanoi. He has a PhD in economics. He was appointed as Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment in March 2018.
In May 2019, the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee appointed Mr. Le Quang Manh to join the Executive Board, the Standing Board of the Can Tho Party Committee and hold the post of Deputy Secretary of the city Party Committee (term 2015-2020). He was introduced to be Chairman of the city People’s Committee (term 2016-2021).
On June 3, 2019, the Can Tho People’s Council elected Le Quang Manh as Chairman of the city People’s Committee for the 2016-2021 term./.
