The draft political report to be submitted to the 12^th provincial Party Congress showed that over the past 5 years, despite a lot of difficulties caused by climate and pandemics, especially COVID-19, the province had gained important achievements in all areas, with fairly good economic growth rate; made progress in trade and services development; reinforced socio-economic infrastructure; ensured social welfare; improvement in people’s living standards; maintained defence, security and social order; and reinforced Party building. 

In the next 5 years, the province will strive to focus on increasing value in agricultural and forestry production, gradually developing hi-tech agriculture for commodities production; boosting processing industry, especially agricultural, forestry and herbal processing; building infrastructure, paying attention to poverty reduction; strictly combining socio-economic development with reinforcing defence and security; increasing Party leadership and combativeness; promoting democracy and national great unity; mobilizing and efficiently the use of all resources, determining to building Bac Kan with rapid and sustainable development. 

After listening to Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Du’s presentation of the draft political report, personnel plans, and the draft resolution of the provincial Party Congress, the Politburo and Party Central Committee Secretariat members agreed with the province’s personnel plans, urging it to continue to complete the requirements of the Politburo.

Addressing the meeting, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Politburo member and Chairwoman of the National Assembly, urged the province to receive the comments from Politburo and PCC Secretariat members for completing procedures before the congress./.
