Tay Ninh province urged to well prepare for Party Congresses

He made the praisal during his meeting with the Standing Board of the Tay Ninh provincial Party Committee on September 1 on the building of Party and the political system, in combination with realizing the tasks in socio-economic development, defence and security, and external relations, especially the organization of Party Congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Party Congress, and the leadership election of the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils deputies term 2021-2026.   

He urged the province, in the upcoming time, to continue to prevent COVID-19 and mitigate the consequences caused by COVID-19; reinforce unity in the Party; and thoroughly prepare conditions for the successful organization of the provincial Party Congress term 2020-2025, especially the selection of personnel for the next term. 

He also asked the province to realize well policies on religion and ethnic minorities; well address complaints to create a healthy environment for the provincial Party Congress; ensure defence and security; increase international relations, and build peaceful and friendly border line with Cambodia in the context of the COVID-19 fight.

With a border line of 240 kilometers with Cambodia, there are 2 international border gates in Tay Ninh province, together with 4 main border gates and 10 supplementary border gates. Tay Ninh is not only a key for trade, trans-shipment of goods, services, tourism and trade between countries in the Mekong sub-region, playing an important role in the development of the southern key economic region, but also holds a strategic position in defense - security.

So far, all the grassroots level and district level Party Congresses have been organised in line with regulations. The province has also completed the draft documents for the provincial Party Congress.

Over the past term, the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increased by 7.2% per year on average, with income per capita of USD3,135. The province encouraged hi-tech agricultural production, and an industry-driven and biological safety breeding sector./.
