(13th Congress) - During the working session of its 14th Congress term 2020-2025 on August 26, Tran Sy Thanh, Party Central Committee member and Deputy Head of the Office of the National Assembly (NA), was elected Secretary of the NA Office Party Committee.

Addressing the closing session, Secretary Thanh noted that the congress delegates had reached high consensus on adopting the resolution, which identified clearly the targets, orientations and solutions to realizing the NA Office Party Congress’ tasks in the next 5 years.
He called on all cadres, Party members and labourers of the Office of the NA to unite to act; continuously practice and increase their morality, qualifications, ability; and successfully realize their tasks and develop a pure and strong Party Committee.
Earlier, attending the NA Office Party Congress, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan stressed that in the next term, the NA will have to realize important tasks of institutionalizing the resolution of the upcoming 13th National Party Congress for continuing to increase comprehensive and synchronous renewal process and national industrialization and modernization. “The NA Office needs to renew its operation and leadership to satisfy the requirements in further enhancing the quality and efficiency of NA operation,” she said.
She also urged the NA Office Party Committee to focus on preventing a degradation of political ideology, morality and lifestyle in the Party; creating a breakthrough in building the Party and increasing its leadership and combativeness./.
