(13th Congress) – With 97.83% of votes, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Standing Deputy Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, was elected as Chairman of the People’s Committee, replacing Mr. Huynh Duc Tho.

On December 9, the 16th session of the 9th Da Nang People’s Council agreed to release Mr. Huynh Duc Tho from the position of Chairman of the city People’s Committee (term 2016-2021).
At the event, delegates agreed to elect Mr. Le Trung Chinh as Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee (term 2016-2021).
Mr. Le Trung Chinh was born on February 20, 1969; in Hoang Phong commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city. He holds a Doctorate of Education and Bachelors of Mathematic Teaching.
Before holding the position of Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr. Le Trung Chinh experienced various positions: Director of the Da Nang Department of Education and Training, Secretary of the Ngu Hanh Son District Party Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee.
At the same day, the 9th Da Nang People’s Council released Mr. Tran Van Mien as Deputy Chairman of the Da Nang city People’s Committee (term 2016-2021) and Mr. Le Tung Lam, former Director of the Department of Transport, as a member of the Da Nang People’s Committee (term 2016-2021).
Mr. Le Tung Lam was appointed as Secretary of the Thanh Khe district Party Committee and Tran Phuoc Son, former Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, was appointed as Secretary of the Lien Chieu district Party Committee.
The city People’s Council also elected Mr. Le Quang Nam, Secretary of the Cam Le district Party Committee, as Deputy Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee (term 2016-2021). Mr. Tran Thi Thanh Tam, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment and Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, were elected as members of the city People’s Committee (term 2016-2021)./.
