(13th Congress) – The congress of the Supreme People’s Court Party Committee took place on September 4-5 during which Le Hong Quang, Party Central Committee (PCC) member and Standing Deputy Chief Judge of the Supreme People's Court was elected the new Secretary of the Committee term 2020-2025.

The congress was held to review the work in the 2015-2020 term and identify the orientations, targets, tasks and solutions for the next 5 years.
Addressing the congress, Nguyen Hoa Binh, Secretary of the PCC, Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court, stressed that the new term Executive Party Committee of the Supreme People’s Court must lead the agency to develop a pure and strong court; care for building solidarity in the Party Committee; and increase the quality of Party cells as a foundation for increasing the quality of professional work.
“It is necessary to lead for better education of cadres’ and Party members’ morality,” he said, adding that it could be considered a crucial work. “The Party Committee with excellent Party members means the Court with excellent cadres, judges and investigators who determine the quality of work and the prestige of the agency.”

He also urged Party cells to increase the efficiency of inspection work for contributing to preventing and pushing back degradation of political ideology, morality and lifestyle among Party members; and developing a pure and strong Party Committee.
During the congress, delegates cast their votes to elect 23 to the new term Executive Party Committee of the Supreme People’s Court. In the first session of the new term Executive Party Committee, Le Hong Quang, Party Central Committee (PCC) member and Standing Deputy Chief Judge of the Supreme People's Court, was elected new Secretary of the Supreme People’s Court Party Committee, with all votes in favour./.
