Ten centrally-governed Party Congresses’ preparations checked

In terms of the draft political reports and the draft resolution of the Congresses, the Politburo and Party Central Committee (PCC) Secretariat members contributed ideas on the orientations, targets, tasks and large solutions for future development.

With the draft report on reviewing the leadership of the Party Executive Committees, they discussed the contents and methods of leadership, good experience and new deeds in leadership, and the direction over implementation of local tasks.

For personnel plans, they discussed the process of personnel preparations; the number of members in the Party Executive Committees and Standing Board; and the structure of the members’ age, young members, female members and re-elected members.

The Politburo appreciated and praised the important and comprehensive results of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee, authority and people over the past 5 years, especially high economic growth rate of 7.6% per year on average; increased proportion of value added and science-technology content industries; improved investment environment; the country’s leading labour productivity; GRDP per capita of USD6,600; maintained political stability, security, social order and defence; increasingly expanded external relations; and renewal in Party and political system building.

They also recognized and spoke highly of the efforts of the Party Committees, authorities and people of Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, Quang Nam, Dong Thap, Tien Giang, Soc Trang, Khanh Hoa, Vinh Long and Thai Binh, which they said had created more comprehensive socio-economic development, Party and political system building, ensuring national defence, security and social order.

Based on the conclusions of the Politburo and Secretariat members, the Party Committees will continue to complete the draft documents and personnel plans for the successful organization of Party Congresses term 2020-2025.
