Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy re-elected with unanimous vote

On October 17, the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress elected the 19th Executive Board, term 2020 - 2025.
According to Directive 35-CT/TW on May 30, 2019 of the Politburo, the Executive Board of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term includes 66 comrades. Compared with the 2015 – 2020 term, the number of members of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 – 2025 term decreases five comrades, equivalent to 7%.
The congress passed a list of 73 comrades to elect 64 comrades. As a result, 64 comrades were elected to the Executive Board of the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.
Right after that, the new Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee held the first meeting to elect the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Commission of Inspection, and Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee Commission of Inspection.
As a result, the new Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee includes 16 comrades. Comrade Thai Thanh Quy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the 18th Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, was re-elected as Secretary of the 19th Party Committee by unanimous vote.
Comrades Nguyen Duc Trung, Deputy Secretary of the 18th Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Nguyen Van Thong, Deputy Secretary of the 18th Provincial Party Committee, were re-elected as Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 – 2025 term.
The conference also elected 12 comrades to participate in the 19th Provincial Party Committee Commission of Inspection. Comrade Bui Thanh An, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the 18th Provincial Party Committee Commission of Inspection, was re-elected to the position of Chairman of the 19th Provincial Party Committee Commission of Inspection.
