(13th Congress) – Attending the Binh Duong provincial 11th provincial Party Congress term 2020-2025 on October 14, Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Commission on Popularization and Education urged the province to increase industrialization and modernization, and restructure economic sectors.

During the congress, he also urged the province to accelerate the shift of industrial production using more technologies and obtaining high added value; protect the environment by absolutely denying projects with backward technologies; join more deeply into global production and value chains; gradually establish urban scientific, technological and industrial zones; complete the infrastructure connecting the province with Ho Chi Minh city and provinces belonging to the key southern economic region; and make favourable conditions for the development of the private economic sector.
Regarding Party building, he advised the province to continue to effectively realize the PCC resolution on Party building and rectification, in connection with studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style.
In the 2015-2020 period, important achievements have been made in the province, including economic development. At present, the average income per capita reaches VND155.7 million, while foreign investment attraction is estimated at USD11.51 billion./.
