(13th Congress) - In the 2021-2025 period, the central province of Phu Yen will strive to mobilize some VND17.152 trillion to build new-style rural areas, especially investing in the infrastructure to link regions and diversify production, thus increasing people’s income, responding to climate change and protecting the environment.

According to the provincial program’s coordination office, together with infrastructure development, the province will also increase investment in raising the quality of education and healthcare, promoting cultural value in connection with boosting rural economic development, and maintaining security and social order.
In this period, the province targets to help 3 districts, towns or cities, and 80% of communes realize the criteria on new-style rural areas.
Over the past 5 years, the province has spent over VND38 trillion on the program, helping 67% of communes complete the criteria. As a result, remarkable improvements have been made in rural infrastructure and people’s living standards./.
