Previously, in September 2020, EVN calculated and proposed a second electricity bill subsidy for some groups of people affected by COVID -19.

The subsidy figure is calculated at about VND3.75 trillion in 2020.

The beneficiaries of this second electricity bill subsidy will mainly focus on customers using electricity for daily life.

The report of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to the National Assembly recently quoted the EVN report showing that during the 3 months from April 16 to the end of July 16, EVN reduced electricity prices and electricity bills for 27.3 million customers with a total reduction of nearly VND9.3 trillion, including nearly VND9.2 trillion for customers and nearly VND85 billion for 4,275 foundations serving COVID-19 prevention.

In addition to reducing electricity prices, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has also decided to reduce electricity bills for facilities used to isolate and treat COVID-19 patients or suspected patients./.
