At the first meeting of the Executive Board of the 19th Provincial Party Committee on September 23, Mr. Do Duc Duy, Chairman of the Yen Bai provincial People’s Committee, was elected as the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term with 100% of votes.
Mr. Do Duc Duy was born on May 20, 1970, in Thuy Van commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province. He has a Master of Construction.
From July 1994 to January 1996, Mr. Duy was an engineer in work structural design for HAAI Architecture Company under the Hanoi Architectural University. From February 1996 to March 2002, he was a lecturer of the Faculty of Construction under the Hanoi Architectural University.
From April 2002 to February 2008, Mr. Duy worked for the Department of Personnel and Organization under the Ministry of Construction.
From March 2008 to October 2012, Mr. Duy was a Deputy Head of the Department of Personnel and Organization, and the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Personnel and Organization Department for the 2012-2015 term. From November 2012 to July 2015, he worked as the Chief of the Office under the Ministry of Construction, and member of the Standing Board of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Construction for the 2010 - 2015 term.
From August 2015 to February 2017, Mr. Duy was a member of the Committee of Party Civil Affairs, Deputy Minister of Construction, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Construction for the 2015-2020 term.
Under the decision of the Secretariat on February 8, 2017, he was appointed to join the Executive Board and the Standing Board of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee for the 2015 – 2020 term.
On the same day, at the 4th session (extraordinary session), the 18th Yen Bai Provincial People's Council elected him as the Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term./.
