(13th Congress) – On September 9, Politburo member and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired a working meeting with the Standing Board of the Quang Ngai provincial Party Committee to contribute ideas to the draft documents and personnel plans for the upcoming 20th provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

The provincial Party Committee identified to work out solutions to build a pure and strong political system and Party Committee; promote solidarity and innovation; ensure defence, security and socio-political stability; and boost rapid and sustainable development, striving to make the province a fairly developed province in the central region by 2025.
Accordingly, the province will strive to increase labour productivity and competitiveness; take advantage of the 4th industrial revolution, and exploit and wisely use resources for rapid and sustainable development; raise people’s living standards; and create a premise for the province raise its income to equal the national average by 2030.
During the meeting, on behalf of the Politburo and Party Central Committee (PCC) Secretariat, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc appreciated the province’s thorough preparations for the Party Congress. “The draft documents meet the quality and requirements, and accurately work out key and breakthrough tasks for the next term,” he said.
Regarding personnel plans, he said that the preparations had been made in an unbiased, open and transparent way.
Agreeing with the province’s targets and solutions in the next 5 years, he urged the province to promote its strength, and inspire aspiration and vision for development. “The province also needs to pay more attention to Party and political system building; and train and foster cadres,” he added./.
