(13th Party Congress) – The 25th Party Congress of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (term 2020-2025) focused on building and rectifying the Party; promoting the tradition of solidarity, unity and the spirit of proactiveness, renovation and innovation; raising the morality and responsibility of setting examples of cadres and party members; successfully completing political tasks.
The ministry’s party congress (term 2020-2025) was held on September 8-9, in Hanoi.

The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Hong Dien, PCC member, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Popularization and Education; Mr. Son Minh Thang, PCC member, Secretary of the Central Agencies Bloc’s Party Committee and Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, PCC member and Minister of Planning and Investment.
It also attracted the participation of 191 party members from 36 party committees and party cells.
Over the past 5 years, cadres and party members of the ministry’s Party Committee made efforts to effectively implement the objectives of the Resolution of the 24th Party Congress of the ministry.
For directions, tasks and solutions in the next term; the Party Committee will focus on raising awareness, political theoretical level, profession and sense of responsibility in advisory.
In his speech at the event, Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung urged the ministry to continue improving the efficiency of the cooperation with the Party Committee for Civil Affairs and leaders of the ministry in guiding advisory work; effectively administering the mechanism and policies in order to successfully carry out strategies, schemes and plans for the next period with the aims of stabilizing the macro-economy at a higher level; vigorously renewing the growth model in association with improving the productivity and competiveness of the economy.

Mr. Son Minh Thang, Secretary of the Central Agencies Bloc’s Party Committee hailed the achievements the ministry made over the past term while urged the ministry to have breakthroughs in building the institution, enhancing the competitiveness to meet the country’s integration requirements.
The Congress elected 26 members to the Executive Board of the 25th Party Committee (term 2020-2025). Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Phuong was elected as Secretary of the Party Committee (term 2020-2025)./.
