Vinh Long province is allocated 6 National Assembly deputies, of which 4 deputies reside and work in the locality and 2 deputies are introduced by the Party Central Committee.

At the meeting, delegates were informed about the structure, composition and number of people of political organizations, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations, social organizations, state agencies and local people's armed forces units introduced to be candidates for the 15th National Assembly in Vinh Long province. At the same time, the delegates also discussed and unanimously voted on the structure, composition and number of people nominated to be candidates for the 15th National Assembly.

Accordingly, the meeting agreed to introduce 12 candidates to the National Assembly, of which women account for about 58%, with about 33% aged under 40 and the rate of re-elected people is 25%.

Ms. Le Hong Dao, Deputy Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province, said that the province will send a document to the agencies, organizations and units in the locality to introduce candidates according to regulations of the Election Law./.
