Vietnam – China diplomatic relationship marked in southern hub

During the meeting, Chairman of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City Duong Quan Ha said that over the past years, leaders of the two countries’ Parties and States had conducted many visits and online exchanges to consolidate and develop the friendly relationship. “The encouraging results in Vietnam - China relations, as well as the development and stability of each country, bolster the belief in a new, stronger and more substantial stage of development of the bilateral relations this year and in the following years,” he added.

Over the years, the friendship and cooperation between HUFO, the Chinese Consulate General and the Chinese business community in Ho Chi Minh City have gained many results as they have cooperated well in friendly, cultural, social charity activities, and exchanges between the delegations of the two sides, to enhance understanding between Ho Chi Minh City’s residents and those in Chinese localities, contributing to the development of the friendship between the people of the two countries.

According to Chinese Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Wu Jun, the China-Vietnam relationship develops in a good trend; with continuously developed and substantive cooperation in all fields, from politics and economy to people's diplomacy. In 2020 in particular, the two countries carried out diverse cooperation activities, joining hands in the prevention and fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting each other in overcoming consequences of natural disasters, and continuing to consolidate the cooperation in trade and investment.

He pledged to continue cooperation with HUFO in promoting people's external relations activities, contributing to enhancing the China – Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership, and moving towards a bright future for the two countries./.
