Do Trong Hung elected Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee (Source: plo.vn)

Taking place from October 26-28, the 19th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, for the 2020-2025 term, conducted a personnel process, electing the new Executive Board of the Provincial Party Committee including 65 members.

At the end of the afternoon of October 27, the Executive Board held the first session, electing the Standing Board, Secretary, Deputy Secretaries, the Provincial Party Committee Commission of Inspection and Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee Commission of Inspection.

The results were announced early on October 28. Accordingly, the Standing Board consisted of 17 members. Do Trong Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the 18th Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thanh Hoa province, for the 2016 – 2021 term, was elected as Secretary of the 19th Provincial Party Committee, for the 2020-2025 term, replacing Mr. Trinh Van Chien with 65/65 votes.

Mr. Hung was born on December 5, 1971 in Thanh Hoa province. He is a PhD in Philosophy.

As assigned by the Politburo, Mr. Trinh Van Chien, after the Provincial Party Congress, will continue to monitor and direct the Provincial Party Committee until the end of the 13th National Party Congress.

According to Directive 35 of the Politburo, there will be no more than two Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee. However, as a large province with a large number of party members, the Politburo agreed to allow Thanh Hoa to elect three Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee, for the 2020-2025 term.

The Executive Board elected Deputy Secretary of the 18th Provincial Party Committee Do Minh Tuan, Head of Provincial Party Committee Commission of Organization Lai The Nguyen and Secretary of the Party Committee of Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Trinh Tuan Sinh, to be Deputy Secretaries of the 19th Provincial Party Committee, for the 2020-2025 term.

The Provincial Party Committee Commission of Inspection was also elected including 13 members. Mr. Le Quang Hung was recognized as Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee Commission of Inspection.

According to the program, the Executive Board will elect a delegation to attend the 13th National Party Congress. /.
