19th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress opens (Source: plo.vn)

The Congress’s theme is to continue improving the leadership and fighting capacity of the Party Committee; promote cultural traditions, history, aspirations for prosperity and the strength of great unity for the entire people; rapid and sustainable economic development; improving the people's life; firmly ensure national defense and security; strive for the target that by 2025 in the group of leading provinces in the country - a new growth pole in the North of the country, by 2030, to become a modern-oriented industrial province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Trinh Van Chien emphasized that in the process of preparing for the congress, the Executive Board of the Provincial Party Committee has received the attention, direction and profound guidance from the Politburo, the Secretariat, and agencies at the central level. Preparations have been conducted in accordance with the principles and guidance of the superiors. The document is carefully prepared, fully absorbing enthusiastic opinions from the congresses of Party Committees, ministries, departments, revolutionary elders, former leaders of the province, scientists, intellectuals, artists and writers, contributing to complete the content of the congress documents.

Looking back on the results of the last term, Mr. Chien said that with the support of all levels and branches, overcoming difficulties and challenges, Thanh Hoa was united, dynamic, creative, striving, bringing into full play the potential and advantages, and strongly stimulating the resources to end the term successfully.
