(13th Congress) – On January 7, a ceremony was held to honour 198 students gaining the “5 goods” of good academic results, good morality, good voluntary work, good integration and good physical health.

Addressing the ceremony, Bui Quang Huy, Standing Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and President of the Vietnamese Students’ Association, said that the “5 goods” student movement over the past years had reported many students with good lifestyle, excellent academic results, creativity and scientific research. “Many have been admitted to the Party, contributing to developing a new generation of youngsters that are patriotic, strongly spiritual, knowledgeable, healthy and desire to strive and do voluntary work for communities, and be confident in international integration,” he added.
Attending the ceremony, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh praised the movement for contributing to creating high quality human resources for national development.
He urged the Vietnamese Students’ Association to continue to renew its operation to further support students in study and practice, contributing to forming a new-era generation of students that are good at morality, profession, health, social skills, voluntary work and international integration.
“Party organizations, authorities and the Vietnamese Students’ Association should work together to do well the fostering, education and training of students; promote the creativity and voluntary spirit of the youngsters to create a sustainable start-up ecosystem, making Vietnam a startup country,” he said./.
