The statement was made by visiting Speaker of the RoK National Assembly Park Byeong Seug while meeting with Tran Van Tuy, head of the Vietnamese NA’s Committee for Deputy Affairs and President of the Vietnam-RoK Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group, in Hanoi on November 3.

The RoK also supports Vietnam’s development, he emphasised.

Lauding the activities of the friendship parliamentarians’ groups of the two countries to date, Park said he hopes they can step up ties and further contribute to advancing relations between Vietnam and the RoK.

He urged the two sides to continue supervising the implementation of cooperation agreements reached by the two Governments and supporting businesses and citizens of the two countries.

For his part, Tuy said the Vietnam-RoK strategic cooperation partnership is developing strongly, with all-level exchanges maintained.

The friendship parliamentarians’ groups will work harder to boost cooperation between the two countries, he promised, suggesting the RoK side maintain its support for the Vietnamese community, particularly Vietnamese brides, in the country.

Vietnam News Agency reported that the RoK NA Speaker is paying an official visit to Vietnam from October 31 to November 4 at the invitation of NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan./.
