Vietnam has nearly VND111,200 newly-established enterprises in the Jan-Oct period, a 2.9% decrease compared to the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).
Over 110,000 enterprises formed in 10 months
Average registered capital per new enterprise was VND14.3 billion, up 14.4%.
If regarding increased capital of ongoing enterprises, the total capital added to the economy in the 10 months is estimated at VND3.9 quadrillion, a year-on-year rise of 17%.
Specifically, 32,600 operating enterprises registered to increase their capital by more than 2,298 trillion VND in total.
During the ten-month period, 37,700 companies resumed operations, up 8.2% year-on-year. There were also nearly 41,800 businesses temporarily suspending operations, nearly 30,300 firms waiting for dissolution procedures, and 13,500 companies completing dissolution procedures, up 58.7%, down 12.4 percent, and up 0.1%, respectively.
In October, the business registration situation saw improvements compared to September. The number of newly-established enterprises increased by 18.4% and the number of enterprises recovering business also rose 10.4%.
Accordingly, the country records 12,200 newly-established enterprises this month with a total registered capital of VND165.6 trillion and 72,400 workers. Average registered capital per new enterprise was VND13.6 billion.
Some 8,600 firms withdrew from the market each month on average./.
