(13th Congress) - In implementation of the Prime Minister's directive on strengthening COVID-19 prevention, in order to maintain and promote the results of the goal in both preventing the pandemic and protecting people’s health, as well as boosting economic recovery and development, many localities have issued documents urging and drastically implementing epidemic prevention and control measures.

In Bac Lieu Province, the Provincial People's Committee has sent an official letter requesting units and localities to continue strictly enhancing the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic.
The Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee requested heads of departments, departments and agencies to raise vigilance against the danger of the pandemic, to drastically and synchronously implement the proposed preventive measures.
It has also directed the strict implementation of preventive measures, especially the Ministry of Health’s 5K message: khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering) and khai bao y te (health declaration), with strict punishment over not wearing face masks at public places, healthcare stations, markets, supermarkets and coach stations.
In addition, the province continues to limit unnecessary events and activities gathering people.
On April 27, Quang Binh Province started to deploy COVID-19 vaccination phase 1 for priority target groups who are the front line force to fight the pandemic.
In the first phase, the Ministry of Health granted Quang Binh Province 8,200 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine for the province to carry out vaccination campaign from April 27 to May 15 at 8 public medical foundations.
According to Nguyen Duc Cuong, Director of the Provincial Department of Health, in order to effectively carry out and ensure the safety of the COVID-19 vaccination, the health sector has previously trained vaccination staff, and increased inspection over vaccination and post-vaccination reaction./.
