Inspectorate sector urged to implement three key tasks

The 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Government Inspectorate for the 2020-2025 period was organized online on November 1.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh attended and directed the congress.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress, Government Inspector General Le Minh Khai said that over the past 5 years, the Vietnamese Inspectorate sector has actively renewed the content and methods of organizing emulation movements; and actively participated in emulation movements launched by the Government and the Prime Minister.

According to the Government Inspector General, the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress was an important milestone marking a new development step on the basis of good traditions, achievements and results achieved over the past 75 years. The congress evaluates the results achieved and sets out targets, directions and emulation tasks for the period of 2021-2025. The congress is also an opportunity to honor advanced examples in the emulation movement in the 2016-2020 period, in order to encourage the inspectorate sector to continue to emulate and strive to fulfill political tasks well, contributing to the successful completion of the country's socio-economic development tasks.

Speaking at the congress, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh asked the inspectorate sector to strengthen its inspection and examination, focusing on the key areas of corruption, negative acts and wastefulness, in order to timely detect and prevent violations.

He emphasized that the sector should launch and organize the effective implementation of patriotic emulation movements in association with the assigned political tasks.

The sector needs to work closely with all levels and branches to address overlapping in inspection work, he said.

The Permanent Deputy PM urged the sector’s agencies to seriously and effectively implement the citizen reception and the settlement of complaints and denunciations, whilst associating the work with law dissemination and education.

According to him, the sector should focus on building a pure and strong inspection force, adding that each inspectorate official and public servant must possess strong will and courage, as well as the resolve to protect reason and truth.

He emphasized that the inspectorate sector needs to strengthen internal inspection to seriously handle violators, while implementing prevention and control of corruption and negative acts right from within the sector.

With the achievements made over the past five years, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Vietnamese Inspector's Traditional Day and the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress, the inspectorate sector is awarded the First Class Labor Order.

At the congress, the Government Inspectorate also awarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in emulation movements./.
