According to the Tien Phong newspaper's statistics, among 63 newly elected provincial and municipal Party secretaries, 54 are male and nine are female. The female include Ms. Le Thi Thuy, Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Dao Hong Lan, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee; and Ms. Giang Pao My, Secretary of the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee.
The average age of 63 provincial and municipal party secretaries is 52.3; among them 27 were born in the 1970s; 34 were born in the period of 1961 -1969; two people were born in 1957. The youngest person is Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee Le Quoc Phong, 42 years old; while the two oldest people are Secretary of Hanoi City Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue and Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen, who are both 63 years old.
In terms of qualifications, most secretaries are well trained; 10 are bachelors, 33 are masters, 19 are doctors and one is an engineer. Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue has the title of Professor and two other people, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, have titles of Associate Professor.
Among 63 Provincial and Municipal Party Secretaries, there are 41 people were re-elected, while 22 are first-elected secretaries, of Bac Giang, Bac Kan, Bac Ninh, Binh Dinh, Binh Thuan, Can Tho, Da Nang, Dak Nong, Dien Bien, Dong Thap, Ha Tinh, Hai Duong, Hoa Binh, Kien Giang, Lam Dong, Lao Cai, Long An, Soc Trang, Thanh Hoa, Tra Vinh, Yen Bai provinces and Ho Chi Minh City./.
