The Sai Gon Hi-tech Park and economic zones in the southern provinces of Long An, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau have signed cooperative agreements to develop supporting industries.
The action is part of the Supporting Industries Development Program in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2019-2025 period, in accordance with Decision 2869/QD-UBND dated July 5, 2019 of the municipal People’s Committee.
Besides, the program also assists local supporting firms to expand markets as well as join global supply chains. It creates a channel to directly connect supply and demand of supporting industrial products among businesses, and introduces supporting industries manufacturers to join the supply chain of domestic companies and foreign-invested enterprises.
According to deputy head of the Sai Gon Hi-tech Park’s management board Le Bich Loan, the park wishes to further promote the leading role to boost bilateral cooperation towards multilateral cooperation in order to improve the linking role between producers and supporting industries companies in the southern key economic region.
She stressed that the management boards of the processing zones, industrial parks and economic zones committed to sharing basic data to outline cooperation programs, helping supporting firms participate in production chains of global corporations./.
