Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Hanoi People's Committee to be responsible for the announcement and commendation according to regulations; directed the People's Committees of 2 districts of Thanh Oai and Phuc Tho to continue maintaining and improving the quality of the criteria, focusing on production and environmental criteria, ensuring sustainability in building the new-style rural area.

After 10 years of making efforts to build the new-style rural area, so far, essential infrastructure for transport and irrigation in Thanh Oai district has been invested for upgrade, meeting development requirements. Currently, all the district’s roads have been asphalted or concreted, ensuring traffic to the commune administrative offices.

Phuc Tho district has reached 9/9 criteria after more than 10 years of building new-style rural area. Up to now, the district has 20/20 communes recognized by the city as meeting new-style rural standards and has built many typical models and is one of the bright spots in Hanoi city.

In the 2010-2020 period, the total production value is estimated at 12,541 billion VND, the growth rate of annual average production value reaches 9.1%/year.

Phuc Tho district has built and upgraded 369 km of traffic roads and 168km of canals; schools, medical stations, electricity and village cultural houses are paid attention to build and upgraded to meet demands of travel, production and cultural life of the people./.
