On November 5, the 9th Tra Vinh Provincial People’s Council, term 2016-2021, held the 17th plenum to consider and decide some contents under the authority of the Provincial People's Council, consolidate the title of Chairman of Provincial People's Council, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee and some other important titles.

Mr. Kim Ngoc Thai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was introduced to hold the title of Chairman of the 9th Provincial People's Council, term 2016-2021. And Mr. Le Van Han, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, was introduced to hold the position as Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for the new term.

As a result, Mr. Kim Ngoc Thai was elected as the Chairman of the 9th Provincial People's Council, term 2016-2021. He was born in 1969 in Tan Hiep commune, Tra Cu district, Tra Vinh province.

The Provincial People's Council also elected Mr. Le Van Han to be Chairman of the 9th Provincial People's Committee, term 2016-2021. He was born in 1970 in  Luu Nghiep Anh commune, Tra Cu district, Tra Vinh province.

The plenum also approved 9 important resolutions such as the Resolution adjusting the medium-term public investment plan in 2016-2020; and the Resolution stipulating policies to support employees and students in Tra Vinh province who work and study abroad under the contract period 2021-2025./.
