The Vietnam Public Sector Union has asked its trade unions to mobilize female cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to wear Ao dai from March 1 to 8, especially on International Women’s Day (March 8), to spread the beauty of Ao dai at working and living places.

Mass media, websites, press publications and social networks are encouraged to update photos on Vietnamese Ao dai to affirm and honour the value of traditional clothes in social life.
The encouragement is carried out under the programme “Ao dai week” launched by the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) to mark the 111th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8).
Members of the VWU and women of all ages are also encouraged to wear Ao Dai at working places, schools, and during events and activities, in accordance with the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, so as to promote the beautiful images of Ao Dai and Vietnamese women./.
