(13th Congress) – A reception was held on November 26 by the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (December 2).

Speaking at the reception, Pham Hong Ha, Party Central Committee member and Minister of Construction, recalled important milestones in the history of the establishment, nurturing and development of the close relationship between Vietnam and Cuba.
During the 60 years of diplomatic relations, Vietnam and Cuba have been firmly building up a special brotherly comradeship, strengthening extensive cooperation in all fields, ready to support and share with each other in difficulties. He affirmed that the Vietnamese leaders and people always attach great importance to the special, pure, loyal, rare and exemplary solidarity relationship in international relations with Cuba, and stand ready to share with the Government and Cuban people in the current difficult time.
Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Lianys Torres Rivera affirmed that Cuba always attaches great importance to the tradition of fraternal solidarity with Vietnam, wishing to promote and develop multifaceted cooperation between the two nations. Before the end of her working term, the Cuban Ambassador shared that she will always remember the good feelings from the leaders of the Party, State and people of Vietnam.
The reception was also attended by Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Commission of Mass Mobilization; together with leaders and representatives from Vietnamese ministries and agencies; and diplomatic delegations in Hanoi./.
