At the ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc recognized the important position of Vietnam’s agriculture sector, with 60% of the population doing agriculture and living in rural areas, being a very important pillar of the country’s development, especially in the context of natural disasters and Covid-19 epidemic.

The Prime Minister said that the Agriculture sector has made a very important and very successful contribution in many aspects, especially in recent years.

He also expressed his belief that Mr. Le Minh Hoan, Member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee will continue to use his experience, qualifications and determination, together with the leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, to fulfill their tasks in the context of climate change. 

Receiving the appointment decision, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan promised that he will, together with other leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the units under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, continue to make agriculture a strong pillar in the country’s economy, reported nongnghiepvn.

According to Deputy Minister Le Minh Hoan, Vietnam’s agriculture has very potential strength. Over the past years, despite many challenges of climate change, severe natural disasters and difficulties in export markets, the Agriculture sector has still reaped great achievements. 

Deputy Minister Le Minh Hoan promised to continue, with the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, to fulfill the tasks given by the Prime Minister for the agriculture and rural agricultural sector.

Deputy Minister Le Minh Hoan pledged to the Politburo to try his best, together with the leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, to continue the spirit of solidarity open-mindedness in their work, contributing to the country’s agriculture and rural development.

On September 21, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1433 / QD-TTg to appoint Mr. Le Minh Hoan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly delegation of Dong Thap province as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

On October 18, Mr. Le Minh Hoan, Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the term 2015-2020, received the decision of the Politburo to join the Party Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development at the opening session of the Party Congress of Dong Thap province.

Mr. Le Minh Hoan was born on January 19, 1961, from Cao Lanh, Dong Thap. He was elected as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, then Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2010-2015 and 2015 - 2020 terms, also Head of the 13th and 14th Dong Thap Provincial Delegation of NA Deputies./.
