Speaking at the event, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen said that in the face of difficulties and challenges, the city has continuously made efforts to ensure the twin goals of maintaining the results of COVID-19 prevention and promoting economic development.

To achieve this dual goal, science - technology and innovation foundation plays a very important role, especially “Digital Transformation”, he stressed.

This is considered a key solution for Vietnam to make a breakthrough in socio-economic development, improve the quality of life and social welfare.

He expressed thanks for suggestions to connect the city with foreign enterprises and investors. He wished that they would share experience and lessons learnt from abroad to turn the result of the conference into specific actions, contributing to the success of the city in all fields.

Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong expressed his desire to receive enthusiastic comments from expatriates to promote the digital transformation of the city, as well as overcome the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and promote economic development.

“The way to develop the city in a fast and sustainable direction can only be innovation,” he emphasized.
