At the meeting, the delegates considered, discussed and gave opinions on six reports of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee.

The delegates focused on discussing and giving many opinions on the results of implementing economic development tasks of the province. By 2020, the total social products of Kon Tum province reaches over 16,100 billion VND, an increase of 9.39% over the previous year. Per capita income increases from over 41 million VND to over 46 million VND. State budget collection reaches 3,000 billion VND, meeting 85.6% of the estimation assigned by the locality. As of the end of 2020, the province has 28 communes meeting new-style rural standards. The results show that, by 2020, most of the economic development targets of the province don’t reach the set plan.

In terms of economic development solutions in 2021, Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee determined to continue restructuring the agricultural sector in association with improving quality and increasing value; promote tourism development; restructure the State budget collection sources, promote production development to create new collection sources; focus on mobilizing and exploiting investment capital sources for investment in urban infrastructure; and continue to promote administrative procedure reform, improve the investment environment and enhance competitiveness.

Mr. Duong Van Trang, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee, said that from 2021, every year Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee will issue a Resolution on the targets and tasks of the year to lead and direct the implementation in the whole province

The targets for the year 2021 are built on the specific basis of the targets of the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress. At the same time, specific tasks and solutions will be identified to successfully implement the targets set out in 2021, said Mr. Trang./.
