Lao National Day congratulated in central city

During the meeting with representatives from the Lao consulate, Mr. Triet said that despite the serious consequences of COVID-19, the Vietnamese and Lao Parties, States and peoples had promoted the tradition of the great relationship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation by giving mutual assistance to each other.

He expressed his belief that the relationship between Da Nang and Lao localities would be strengthened, contributing to fostering the everlasting relationship between the two countries.

Viengxay Phommachanh, Lao Consul General to Da Nang, showed his thanks to the city’s leaders’ best regards as well as its support for Lao localities over the past time, especially in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, assisting Lao students in the city, and providing facilities for Laos’ prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the Lao Consul General to Da Nang, Vietnam and Laos gained great development achievements in 2020, and would stand side by side for mutual development and for a bright future. “The special and rare relationship between the two countries will be reinforced, as a foundation for the two countries to continue to go up in national construction and development,” he said, pledging he would do his utmost to foster the bilateral relationship, especially between Da Nang and Lao localities. 

Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Ngoc Binh, Chairman of the Da Nang city Union of Friendship Organizations, confirmed that the union would work closely with the Lao Consulate General to organize diverse practical activities in promoting traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations./.
