(13th Congress) - On March 9, the fourth session of the Ho Chi Minh city Election Commission convened, presided over by Deputy Secretary of the city Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai.
As of March 8, the Ho Chi Minh city Election Commission has received 4 candidacy dossiers for deputy of the 15th NA and also 4 candidacy dossiers for deputy of the city People’s Council. Of these, two are self-nominated candidates' dossiers for the 15th NA and the city People’s Council.

So far, 19 agencies, organizations and units have organized meetings with voters to introduce 21 candidates nominated for deputies of the 15th NA, and 60 agencies, organizations and units have introduced 64 candidates to run for deputies of the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Council.
Mr. Tang Huu Phong, Head of the Administration and General Subcommittee, said that Ho Hi Minh city established Electoral Boards for the People’s Council in Thu Duc city, 5 districts and 63 communes and towns.
The receipt of candidacy dossiers for the NA and the city People’s Council continues until 17:00 on March 14. Next, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Thu Duc city, districts, communes and towns will receive the candidates’ dossiers.
The second consultation meeting will be held on March 18 to prepare a preliminary list of nominated candidates and self-nominated candidates. Before March 19, Ho Chi Minh city will submit the dossiers to the National Election Commission.
Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai asked units to continue to create the best conditions for candidates to apply. He urged the Election Commission and localities to closely coordinate and carry out work on schedule, ensuring that all citizens have the right to exercise their right to vote, to avoid shortcomings and overlapping./.
