Quang Nam Province urged to promptly implement 13th National Party Congress resolution

In Hiep Duc District, the Vice State President and sponsors presented 100 gifts to ethnic minority families and 100 gifts to disadvantaged pupils.

She also presented VND500 million to the district fund for the poor.

In Duy Xuyen District, she donated VND2.1 billion to the provincial social welfare program; presented 2 houses of gratitude worth VND50 million each to 2 families with difficult circumstances, 100 gifts to beneficiaries families and poor households, and 100 gifts to pupils.

Talking with officials and residents in Hiep Duc and Duy Xuyen Districts, Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh expressed her pleasure and approval of the two localities’ development achievements.

According to the Vice State President, the whole local political system joined hands in well implementing social welfare programs, taking good care of people's lives, especially beneficiaries families and revolutionary contributors. “Happily, the poverty rate of the two localities has decreased sharply, to 8% in Hiep Duc District and 2.6% in Duy Xuyen District, while the infrastructure has been gradually invested synchronously,” she said.

In the coming time, she suggested the two districts continue to perform well the prevention of COVID-19 by considering it the top priority and encouraging people to strictly follow the Ministry of Health’s 5K message: khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering) and khai bao y te (health declaration).

Besides, the two districts were urged to focus on thoroughly grasping, researching and implementing effectively the resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, and making thorough preparations to successfully organize the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the term 2021 - 2026./.
