Enhancing cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and RoK

She made the statement during her reception for the new Korean Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Kang Myongil on April 13.

During the reception, she introduced the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s role and operations, showing her impression on Korean people’s hardworking approach and contributions to the city’s development.

According to Ms Chau, the RoK has a culture that is close to Vietnam. “Many Vietnamese people know about the Korean culture through movies, so the cultural exchange between the two countries is more favorable,” she said, adding that it also helps many businesses in Ho Chi Minh City introduce and promote their brands to the RoK.

She expressed gratitude to the Korean Government for its support and assistance to the Vietnamese people living and working in the country.

Korean Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Kang Myongil affirmed that the cooperation between the two countries has been constantly developing in recent years. “Besides economic development, in the coming time, it is necessary to pay more attention in terms of cultural relations between the two countries,” he said.

He also showed his hope that the COVID-19 pandemic would soon be controlled so that the two countries could reopen their flight routes, creating opportunities to promote cooperation between the two countries in the coming time./.
