In Decision 1809/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister approved the results of the election, as Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term, of Mr. Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 – 2025 term, and Standing Deputy Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term.

Mr. Le Thanh Do, born in 1968, is from Thai Binh province. He previously held positions as Chief of the Office of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee cum the Secretary of the Muong Nhe District Party Committee; and Standing Deputy Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee.

In Decision 1808/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister approved the dismissal, as Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term, of Mr. Mua A Son, to accept a new assignment./.
