(13th Congress) - A total of 63 outstanding ethnic minority teachers were honoured in a program, which was jointly held by the Vietnam Youth Federation, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Committee for Ethic Affairs, and Thien Long Group held in Hanoi on November 17.
The outstanding ethnic minority teachers have achieved excellent working performance and received high appreciation from parents, teachers and local people despite working in remote and disadvantaged areas.
The organizing board selected 63 teachers from 26 ethnic minority groups from 82 nominees across the country, including six individuals from ethic minority groups with very small populations.
At the program, the Thien Long Group also donated VND100 million for the construction of a school house at Xuan Le Kindergarten in Thuong Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province.
Earlier the same day, the honoured teachers were each presented with a certificate of merit and a VND10 million saving book and also received the ‘For the development cause of ethnic groups’ insignia at a meeting hosted by the Government’s Committee for Ethnic Affairs./.
