Hanoi-based Ngo Sy Lien Secondary School awarded second-class Independence Order

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh attended the ceremony.

At the event, on behalf of Party and State leaders, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh presented the second-class Independence Order to Ngo Sy Lien Secondary School and 20 scholarships to outstanding students living in difficult circumstances.

Teachers and students across many generations have gained numerous achievements and prestigious awards such as Labour and Independence Order and the “Labour Hero” title over the past four decades with its official name as Ngo Sy Lien Secondary School.

One hundred years ago, Leonet school, which was built by the French for male students, entered its first academic year.

Following the great success of the glorious August Revolution, the school was named after historian Ngo Sy Lien./.
