At the event, Mr. U Zaw Lin, a representative of Mandalay region, expressed his sincere thanks to the Vietnamese Government and people for their meaningful and timely assistance.

He emphasized that Myanmar greatly appreciated the country’s valuable sentiments and assistance towards Myanmar which have largely contributed to developing friendship and co-operation ties between the two countries in recent years.

This is the fourth time Vietnam has presented medical supplies to Myanmar in an effort to help them overcome challenges they face.

Previously, the country had handed over a total of USD93,000 and 160,000 face masks, packs of hand sanitiser,  and medical equipment, to Myanmar.

In addition, Vietnamese enterprises in Myanmar have donated about USD26,000 and 10,000 face masks to local people to help them prevent the COVID-19 pandemic./.
