The National Assembly Standing Committee has approved to extend the reduction of environmental protection tax on flying fuel to 2,100 VND per liter, reported Vietnam News Agency.

The new rate will be applied from January 1 to December 31, 2021. As from January 1, 2022, the rate will return to the old level of 3,000 VND per liter.
The environment tax rate reduction for jet fuel aims to help aviation companies overcome difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Also on December 10, the NA Standing Committee gave opinions on preparations for the election of deputies to the 15th NA and all-level People’s Councils for the 2021-2025 tenure.
The committee also looked into the allocation of investment funded by the state budget in 2021 to projects transferred from 2016-2020 to 2021-2025.
The session concluded later on the day, with NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan hailing the committee’s efficient work, completing all the working programs half a day ahead of schedule./.
