The event aims to carry out the plan of planting 3,000 green trees in 2021 of the Hanoi Police.
According to Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung, Director of the Hanoi Police, the launching ceremony took place in the atmosphere of celebrating the glorious Party, the nation and the renewal city. This is a chance to revise the fine tradition that began on November 28, 1959, when President Ho Chi Minh launched the "Tree planting festival". Since then, "Tree planting festivals" have become a broad movement, a beauty in Vietnamese culture, with profound educational significance.
Up to now, Hanoi has completed the program of planting 1 million green trees two years ahead of schedule and planting an additional 600,000 green trees in urban areas and 250 streets and roads, contributing to changing the city landscape.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung said that the city police set a goal of planting and taking care of 3,000 green trees in 2021 to practically respond to the program of planting 1 billion green trees launched by the Prime Minister. The goal of Hanoi city is to plant 300,000 green trees in 2021. By 2030, each citizen of the capital will plant a green tree, contributing to making Hanoi a city with four seasons of blooming and always bright, green, clean and beautiful./.
