The city currently has 6 industrial parks and 1 high-tech park with 65,444 labourers.

The COVID-19 pandemic is undergoing complicated developments in Vietnam with many new strains which have high infection rates, and spread quickly in the community, and in production and business establishments, and industrial parks, especially cases reported in some industrial zones in Hai Duong, Bac Giang and Bac Ninh.

During this wave of COVID-19, Da Nang recorded 42 cases related to Da Nang Industrial Park.

Da Nang City also requires businesses in industrial zones and hi-tech zones in the city to strengthen the implementation of measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic at production and business establishments, factories and industrial parks. All cases of negligence, loss of vigilance, irresponsibility, improper implementation of regulations and directions on epidemic prevention and control must be identified as collective and individual responsibilities for handling according to regulations.

Previously, for units outside industrial zones and hi-tech zones, on May 18, the City Department of Industry and Trade has requested businesses to urgently set up COVID-19 safety teams consisting of at least 3 members each to urge and remind employees to strictly follow preventive measures; monitor, inspect and propose handling of violations; assist agencies in tracing F1, F2 cases and emergencies in case of business-related COVID-19 cases./.
