On behalf of leaders of the Party and State, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Chairman of the Central Council for Emulation and Rewards, awarded the National Great Solidarity Order to leaders and deputies of the National Assembly (NA) at the NA Building on January 6.

The awarding ceremony was held on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the first General Election Day of Vietnam’s NA (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2021).
Accordingly, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented the National Great Solidarity Order to NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, NA Standing Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong; NA Vice Chairmen Uong Chu Luu, Phung Quoc Hien, General Do Ba Ty and 12 individuals, who are members of the NA's Party Committee and members of the National Assembly Standing Committee.
In order to recognize outstanding achievements in the working process, contributing to the cause of building socialism, defending the Fatherland and building the great national unity bloc, the State President on January 4, 2021 issued Decision 02 on awarding the National Great Solidarity Order to 17 full-time National Assembly deputies, who are leaders of the NA, members of the NA’s Party Committee, and members of the NA Standing Committee.
On behalf of individuals awarded orders, NA Standing Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong said that those who were awarded the National Great Solidarity Order are deserving people because they have long experience with challenges, and being trained in all working fields, have many innovations and responsibilities, being a sample to enthusiastically participate in the NA’s activities. They always make efforts to implement resolutions of the Party and of the NA, being close to the people to deserve to be representatives of the people, she added.
NA Standing Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong emphasized that this is a noble reward, the recognition of the Party and State for the contributions of the NA deputies and affirming that, regardless of position, the NA deputies also uphold the tradition of solidarity and revolution of the NA to contribute their wisdom and effort to serve the country.
The National Great Solidarity Order, a noble reward of the Party and State, is presented to individuals having a process of dedication, great merits, and exceptional achievements in the cause of building the entire national great solidarity bloc./.
