The personnel work was high on the agenda of the fourth working day of the 14th session of the 12th-tenure PCC on December 17, reported VNA.
Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong chaired the plenum.
Later, the PCC cast ballots to nominate some members of the 12th-tenure Politburo, PCC, and PCC’s Secretariat as candidates for seats in these organs in the 13th term.
The same day, Tran Cam Tu, Secretary of the PCC and Chairman of the PCC’s Inspection Commission, read the Politburo’s proposal on disciplining Nguyen Duc Chung, member of the PCC, former Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee for 2015-2020, and former Secretary of the Party unit at and former Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee for 2016-2020.
The PCC then considered and decided on the disciplinary measure of expelling Chung from the Party./.
