At the ceremony, VUFO President Nguyen Phuong Nga praised the Ambassador as a man who actively took part in people-to-people friendship activities organised by the union as well as the Vietnam-Chile Friendship and Cooperation Association.

She thanked Ambassador Jaime Chomali for his contributions in strengthening the solidarity, friendship and comprehensive partnership between the two countries, and expressed her belief that he will continue supporting Vietnam and fostering bilateral ties in the future.

For his part, the Chilean diplomat stated that he and his family all share a warm affection for the country and people of Vietnam.

He affirmed that in any capacity, he will continue working to further enhance the friendship between the people of the two countries, thus helping to reinforce and develop the Chile-Vietnam comprehensive partnership./.
