The Quang Ninh provincial Party Executive Committee term XIV on February 6th held a meeting to discuss the draft political report to be submitted to the 15th provincial Party Congress term 2020 - 2025.

During the meeting, the members of the provincial Party Executive Committee focused their discussion mainly on the topic of political report that highlights building the Party Committee, the political system more and more pure and strong with effective operation; promoting democracy, strengthening the people's trust; efforts to proactively innovate, create and mobilize all resources to promote rapid and sustainable socio-economic development; ensure national defense and security; turning Quang Ninh by 2025 into a service and modern industrial province, an international tourist center, one of the growing poles of the North; becoming a centrally governed city by 2030.
In addition, the participants gave a thorough analysis of the advantages, weaknesses, causes, lessons learned in implementing the Resolution of the 14th provincial Party Congress; as well as some main targets, viewpoints and development orientations; tasks and solutions for the next term.
Recognizing the enthusiastic contribution and responsibility of the delegates at the meeting, Nguyen Xuan Ky, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, clarified a number of contents that received concern, including the province’s targets in 2025, 2030 and 2045; the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) economic growth rate; budget revenue; GDP per capita; average labor productivity growth rate; rate of trained labor; urbanization rate; rate of nurses in healthcare; and rate of collection and treatment of household wastewater.
He urged the drafting sub-committee to complete the draft report, highlighting the outstanding achievements made in the building of the Party and political system and experience drawn, stressing the renewal of development thinking and new solutions./.
