The Prime Minister requested the strengthening of the leadership role of the governing body, speeding up the political and ideological direction, implementing the Party's lines and views, the State’s policies and laws for affiliated press agencies; and enhancing the responsibility of the head of the press agencies.

The Prime Minister has just issued Directive 09/CT-TTg on improving the efficiency of information and dissemination to serve essential political and information tasks of press agencies in the 2021 – 2025 period.
Under the leadership of the Party, the management of the State, the revolutionary press has made a very positive contribution to the task of dissemination of Party’s policies and State’s laws, contributing to create social consensus, determination, self-reliance and strong solidarity of the Vietnamese nation. The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts and achievements of the revolutionary media in the defense and construction of the country over the past time.
In order for the press agencies to continue to perform well the dissemination to serve political and essential information tasks in the 2021-2025 period, especially the implementation of the objectives and assigned tasks in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Prime Minister requested press agencies to strictly obey the Press Law, and National Press Management and Development Plan until 2025.
The Directive clearly states that the key tasks in the 2021 - 2025 period are to disseminate the Party's policies and the State's laws; the implementation of resolutions of the Party, National Assembly, and Government; and leadership, direction and administration of the Party Committee, central and local governments./.
